The machine is designed for drilling holes in coal and rock of similar hardness, and the WER-6 version is suitable for soft and medium-hard rock with rotary drills consisting of a rib or diamond rod and a handle (maximum hole diameter Ø43).
It can be used in underground mines in facilities classified as methane explosion hazard classes 'a,' 'b,' or 'c,' and coal dust explosion hazard classes 'A' or 'B,' provided that power is turned off in case the methane concentration exceeds 2% according to applicable regulations.
